Emergency Medical Support

Good health and well-being are one of the 17 sustainable development goals declared by the United Nations (UN) to be achieved by the year 2030. On understanding the need to provide medical support to underprivileged children, the Child Help Foundation started its flagship program- Emergency Medical Support in the year 2013.

Life expectancy has increased resulting in a drop in infant and maternal mortality rates. But we still need to strive toward ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for everyone.

World Health Organisation (WHO) indicates that India ranks very high among the nations affected by the rising wave of premature deaths caused by non-communicable diseases, which account for 60% of all deaths in India. Non-communicable diseases are also known as chronic diseases. They are of long duration and generally progress slowly. Examples include cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes. The WHO report also shows that about 1.7 million deaths are caused by heart diseases every year in India.

Child Help Foundation interacts with different medical specialty departments of various hospital partners regularly and tracks down updates on underprivileged children who need emergency medical treatment. We also endorse an appeal from partner hospitals, families of underprivileged patients, and NGOs for Emergency Medical Support.

HOW WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

300000+ Donors
2687+ Children Saved
31 Partner Hospitals

To date, Child Help Foundation has supported 2687 children and is working towards getting a solution for their issues by raising funds through various sources which include corporates and philanthropists. However, our support doesn’t stop here. Once the patient is in the recuperation stage, we take regular updates about the patient’s medical status along with the family’s well-being.
