Village Development Programs

Child Help Foundation started conceptualizing and working on Village Development Program in 2016. We believe that the best way to bring about sustainable well-being of children is to work on a planned, long-term project and support the development of families and the village as a whole. We believe that empowered women will be able to provide better care to their children and families by providing them with their basic needs like educational, health, emotional, spiritual, and social needs.

CHF works primarily in villages, where the population is over 90% tribal, and there are only few resources and facilities for the people. By employing a long term strategy we are ensuring sustainable development of a village.

We work with multiple stakeholders viz. the government, local bodies, corporate bodies, and other NGOs.

In the year 2022, Child Help Foundation initiated a project in Bhintghar, Nashik, Maharashtra. As part of this project, we are working to set up a BazaarHaat (Business Hub) as a business center for youth and women to open small shops offering goods and services such as electrical equipment repairing, clinics, cosmetics stores, saloons, dairy, bakery, spices (Masala), tailoring, vegetables, etc.

The women, men and youth are being given computer training to implement the opportunities being planned for them. Skill development training for women is another focus where they are being taught food processing and manufacturing of herbal products for sale.

To enable the empowerment of the women of the village, awareness sessions are also conducted on social and legal rights such as POSH Act, Domestic Violence Act, Dowry Act, Right to Education and Government Schemes for Women.

In accordance with our Village Development goals, Child Help Foundation has already implemented the expanding and deepening of 30 more wells, for water to be easily available to them, decreasing the burden on women and increasing access to safe drinking water. This initiative will support the livelihood of families.
