Our Identity

Child Help Foundation is the brainchild of three individuals, Mr. Rajendra Pathak, Mr. Sunil Varghese, and Mr. Jugender Singh, who through their careers witnessed how the lack of monetary resources, leads to a number of adults and little children losing the battle with serious medical conditions.

Child Help Foundation was set up with the aim of aiding seriously ill children with the resources they need to access the required treatment. Medical care for children suffering from life-threatening conditions grew and expanded under our flagship program, and to date we have supported 2,687 children. Child Help Foundation connects children in need with donors through our network of hospitals, doctors, NGOs, and philanthropists.

In 2015 the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were announced by the United Nations, and UNICEF identified 35 (out of 232) indicators that focus on children. The one thing that stood out is the interconnectedness of issues because no goal can be addressed in isolation. Child Help Foundation as a child-centric organisation realized that if we truly want to ensure that the best interests of the children are met, we need to adopt a more integrated approach and look at how different issues, even those seemingly unconnected at the surface level, impact children. We also realised the need to look at preventive measures along with the curative aspects of child welfare. Child Help Foundation works on increasing access to quality education, retention of children in school, health issues including malnutrition and maternal child health. Our Zero Hunger program is focused on reducing the incidence of hunger especially in children. Our slogan of ‘Swastha Se Shiksha Tak’ – (Everything from Health to Education) was inspired from the understanding of how interwoven health and education are in the development of a child. The SDGs provide us a road map for going forward with all our chosen endeavors.

At Child Help Foundation, our approach is holistic and our style hands-on. We are on the ground, where it matters most for the child. We work at grassroots levels to empower families and communities.
